Body Mass Index May Increase Risk of Blood Pressure, Cardiovascular Disease

The researchers found that there was an increase of between 0.8 to 1.7 mm Hg (kg/m2) in blood pressure per additional unit of BMI for 95 percent of the subgroups not taking antihypertensive medication.
